The Stabilizer

The stabilizer is used to level and stabilize existing support beams and floor joists.

Benefits

  • Heavy-duty steel column can support ultimate vertical loads greater than 60,000 pounds.
  • Minimal disturbance to crawlspace or surrounding property.
  • Excavation and installation typically completed in one day.
  • Compacted crushed stone base effectively transfers load to existing soils.
  • Professional installation by certified Grip-Tite dealers.

Stabilizer Installation

  1. A 2 foot square hole is dug where the stabilizer will be set.
  2. The hole is filled and compacted with well-graded crushed stone.
  3. The stabilizer is set on the compacted material and is adjusted to meet the existing wood or steal beam.
  4. The stabilizer bracket is attached to the beam.
  5. The stabilizer is adjusted to stabilize the floor from any further sinking of floor joists.
